At Atlante, we pride ourselves on our ability to merge market research and consumer trends to craft innovative and premium Italian ready-meal options for UK consumers. Our partnership with Sainsbury’s for this project has been a journey of collaborative and creative development.
The journey began with a brief from Sainsbury’s Research and Development team, to which Atlante's product innovation team, led by Alessandra Gentili, responded with enthusiasm and expertise. Our goal was to create a high-quality, fresh filled pasta option that resonates with the premium standards of the Taste the Difference range. Scheduled for an initial six-month run, with potential for extension based on consumer preferences, this project was both a challenge and an opportunity.
Our food innovation team, renowned for their culinary expertise, developed initial samples that were refined in collaboration with the Sainsbury’s R&D team. The result is the Aubergine Parmigiana Mezzelune, a product that perfectly balances traditional Italian pasta craftsmanship with modern, flavorful ingredient combinations. Its rich and creamy texture, combined with the autumnal favourite aubergine, creates an ideal harmony suitable for cooler evenings and darker nights.
Since its introduction a month ago, the Aubergine Parmigiana Mezzelune has been met with tremendous consumer acclaim. The positive feedback reflects our dedication to delivering exceptional taste and quality in every product.
